2005 Ford Explorer

The 2005 Ford Explorer is the final iteration in the third generation of the Explorer, offering buyers the traditional great features they’ve come to know and love while also giving them a little of the unexpected.

Engine choices for the 2005 Ford Explorer start with the 4.0L V-6 Single-Over-Head-Cam engine with 210HP and 254FTLB of torque and Flex-Fuel Technology -- allowing the driver to run an alternative fuel source such as E-85 Ethanol -- or the 4.6L V-8 engine with 239HP and 282FTLB of torque.

Each edition of the Ford Explorer gives the buyer the option of choosing a rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive platform as well as being coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission. 2005 is also the year the Ford Explorer has a new third-row of seating allowing a grand total of seven (7) passengers to comfortable be seated.
